3. Data Processing and Storage

Content you submit for summarization is:

• Processed by OpenAI's GPT models
• Not permanently stored by GetToThePoint
• Transmitted securely using encryption
• Subject to OpenAI's data usage policies

User account data is stored securely using Google Firebase with industry-standard encryption. iOS app data is additionally protected using Apple's secure keychain services.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: OpenAI for AI processing, Google Firebase for authentication and storage, Apple for iOS authentication services
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

Our Chrome extension requires these permissions:

• activeTab: Access content of the current tab for summarization
• identity: Google OAuth authentication
• storage: Store user preferences and cache locally
• scripting: Extract content from web pages

iOS App Data Practices

Our iOS app:

• Local Storage: Authentication tokens stored securely in iOS Keychain
• Share Extension: Processes shared URLs only when explicitly shared by user
• Apple Sign-In: Uses Apple's secure authentication when available
• No Background Processing: Only processes content when app is actively used
• App Groups: Secure communication between main app and share extension
• No Location Data: We do not collect or use location information
• No Device Access: We do not access camera, microphone, contacts, or photos
